Dude, seriously, geek.

Bourne Ultimatum

What's with people being so convinced that The Bourne Ultimatum will be released in '05? It's not coming to screens until at least '06 if the project goes through. They had 2 years between the releases of Identity and Supremacy, and Matt Damon also has the US version of Hong Kong movie Internal Affairs to do for '05 called The Departed, under Martin Scorcese, currently in pre production, probably won't start filming until end of the year.

It's not unusual for an actor to have multiple movies out in one year, in fact Nicole Kidman seems to be having SIX movies out next year. However, The Bourne movies have always been summer movies. The first one was out in June 2002, the second in July 2004. Given the successful timing of those movies, it's not hard to guess the third one will be released in summer '06 but if you wanna keep hoping, i won't stop ya.

Speaking of The Departed, Damon's co-star in that movie is former teenage heart throb Leonardo DiCaprio, last seen in 2002's Catch Me if You Can alongside Tom Hanks. After the disastrous The Beach, and the non-release Don's Plum, he's been allying himself with people such as Martin Scorcese (Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed), Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks (Catch me if You Can), and Robert DeNiro (The Good Shepherd). Despite his efforts, I still can't see him ranked alongside those big name veterans or anywhere near them. His public profile and image just don't mix well with his on screen persona.
