Sunny Side Up

Dude, seriously, geek.

Expensive mistake

Remember the Genesis project that crashed landed on the Utah desert? Just to jog your memory, it's the project that went around the sun, collecting samples to find out about the nature of our galaxy. Upon return, a retrieval team was prepared to catch the flying saucer with a net extended from a helicopter piloted by a Hollywood stunt pilot as it descended from the sky. Well, it didn't turn out as expected and the capsule fell 200 miles per hour to the ground, spectacularly crashing to the desert below

This is why it crashed. A stupid human error is being identified as the reason behind the loss of the $264 million project where apparently triggers for the parachute was installed BACKWARDS. Y'know, people sometimes say when someone makes a mistake, it's not like it's rocket science, well, THIS is rocket science and they still get it wrong. Multiple times too!! Read the article and you'll find out that the same company has been behind a number of failed multimillion dollar projects and is currently has another project due to return in 2 years.

Despite their terirble track record, they're unlikely to be replaced for future project contractors cuz they're most likely the ones who can come up with the lowest budget and cheapest estimates. Well, you get what you paid for I guess.
