Sunny Side Up

Dude, seriously, geek.

Shock! Horror! Stunned!

For the first time this season, the grid for a Formula 1 Grand Prix will be a Ferrari sandwich. "What do you mean?", I hear you ask. Well, a sandwich is when you have two slices of bread and a whole bunch of things in between so a Ferrari sandwich is? Ferraris at the front and back with everyone else in between. The shock result came after Michael Shumacher failed to qualify for the Chinese grand Prix.

Shortly after completing the day's practice sessions strongly in front, Schumacher spun out during qualifying, leaving the race wide open for the taking. No one could figure out why he spun not even Schumacher himself, which means, it would be interesting to see how he does tomorrow on this brand new track.

In the past, he's been known as a speed demon and the king of overtaking especially from way out in the back. Just a couple of weeks ago he spun out on lap 1 during the Italian Grand Prix and was forced to rejoin on 15th position but it didn't seem to matter as he fought his way back right up to second place behind teammate Rubens Barichello who fought him off and eventually won the race with MS finishing 2nd place for the first time in 2004.

You can find out the grid for tomorrow right here

Oh yeah, Jarno Trulli has left Sauber and has been replaced by Formula 1 veteran Jacques Villeneuve. He will complete the season for Sauber and will race for them next year. Trulli will join Ralf Schumacher at Toyota for 2005, whose current teammate Juan Pablo Montoya will join McLaren replacing David Coulthard.

Williams-BMW is in a battle with BAR after a contract dispute involving former Williams and current BAR driver Jenson Button. Both claim Button has a binding contract with their teams for 2005.
