Sunny Side Up

Dude, seriously, geek.

A Quake! A Tsunami!

8.9 Richter scale, 100 miles off Aceh. BBC News says over 7000 dead across the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal and counting, mostly due to the massive tsunami that hit following the quake. While the epicenter was 100 miles off the coast of Aceh, India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand are the areas most affected by the tidal wave. Thailand's most popular beach destination, Phuket, seems to have been wiped out, while Sri Lanka is practically crippled after being hit by the tsunami around 8 am GMT. This is the 5th strongest quake that hit the planet in over 50 years. Here's another take on the quake from CNN.
