Sunny Side Up

Dude, seriously, geek.

Oooo!

Haven't really posted in over a week now. Plenty of things happened but I just haven't been bothered to post.

Watched Revenge of the Sith two Saturdays ago. Stupid me, I didn't realize when I booked the tickets that it would clash with the Storm vs Bulldogs game so I had to choose and I decided that Star Wars was most likely worth more to watch than the game and I half hoped that the game wasn't going to be too exciting so that I wouldn't have missed much. Well, the movie ended up being totally worth it and the game ended up being totally worthless. Friends of mine who went to the game said it was an embarrassment. I feel guilty now.

The movie ruled. At the time I thought it was even better than Empire Strikes Back but now that I've had over a week to think about it, ESB is still better and RotS comes in second. Anyone expecting great performance by the cast is surely kidding themselves. Star Wars have never been about acting, it was about the story and what a story it was. The six movies are now complete and while many may have hated Episodes 1 and 2, this movie elevated them. It gave them more reason for existing and while some details may contradict what was said in Episodes 4-6, they're not significant and can be attributed to the characters' bad memory. After all, Ben Kenobi is famous for twisting the truth.

Now that the movie's out, the wait is on for the DVD which is supposedly being released sometime in November 2005, perfect timing for Christmas shopping and will most definitely be the hottest gift of the season. Plenty of easter eggs to hunt down such as the Millennium Falcon in the Corusçant senate landing bay (yes, it was the Falcon), George Lucas painted in blue, Anthony Daniels and Boba Fett out of costume, and a whole heap of others. Bring on Xmas!!

The only problem with that movie was Hayden Christensen, maybe if he could act we might have been able to feel sorry for Anakin...

After being disappointed from the last two prequels, I still had faith that Revenge of the Sith will bring back the magic. And it definitely did.Oh yeah and did I forget to mention the best part "YOUNGLINGS" , They're young and they're half duck....FUNNY!!!
