Movie Rant

The IncrediblesPolar Express After only 2 weekends in US cinemas, The Incredibles have not only recouped its production cost, it made over $50 million on top of it which is more than double what Tom Hanks' Polar Express came back with on its opening weekend, being smacked, strangled, beaten, derailed, and forced to come in at number two as The Incredibles maintains its lock on 1st place.

As does every eyar, unfortunately for local movie enthusiasts, Australian cinemas insist on putting the biggest and best major summer releases on boxing day, which is December 26, which means no The Incredibles until then. Don't ask what boxing day is or what it means as nobody really knows why the day after Christmas is called that. As far as Australians are concerned, it's when Australia hosts an international cricket match (usually against India) and cool movies come out. Polar Express, on the other hand, will start next week.

well... frankly all this is just a fancy way of saying I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY'RE HOLDING THE INCREDIBLES UNTIL AFTER CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Boxing Day is for shopping in the morning and then rocking up to the MCG at about 10 (for the Test), eating turkey sandwiches and watching cricket all day, that's like the only reason boxing day exists.

P.S. Polar Express is gonna suck...Garden State is where it's at.
