Google Spreadsheet is platform independent and share-able. As in multiple users at the same time.
Death knell for MS Office is beginning to ring very loudly. As soon as Google releases a word processor and a presentation software, Microsoft can kiss its collective asses goodbye. StarOffice and OpenOffice are already gaining ground.
The upcoming OpenOffice-based NeoOffice 2.0 (PPC and Intel Macs) will also be an excellent free replacement for Office:mac. Excel is the sole remaining component I use semi regularly. Funnily enough, I've been offered a certification course to become an office:mac product professional. Enticing to have that added to my resume, right next to Apple Product Professional (once I fulfill that course as well).

too bad about the entrenched business users, people will always feel they "need" to use the same thing they use at work - microsoft office:mac will be around for a long time :(

my office is already 70% OpenOffice/NeoOffice. All it needs is a little more education.
