Uninstaling apps

One of the reasons Macs are so much more convenient than Windows is that often installing programs is as simple as copying the application from the disk image container to the Application folder. Sometimes though, you need an installer like when installing many of Apple's own applications (iLife, iWork, OS updates) but often they will still work if you just copy them to another Mac's Application folder.

Removing them is another matter entirely. When you uninstall applications, most of the times all you need to do is trash the app by sending it to the Trash and you're done. Thing is, if you want them removed completely, it involves a bit more than that.
